Lernen durch Bewegung und Kultur: Es ist nie zu spät

Ich dachte immer, dass das Älterwerden unvermeidlich mit dem unglücklichen Verfall körperlicher Bewegung einherging. Gelenke beginnen zu knacken, Knie beginnen zu schmerzen, und fast jede kleine Bewegung wird größer als es sein sollte. Ich hatte jedoch nicht erwartet, dass mein Verstand, ein Muskel in seinem eigenen metaphorischen Sinn, ebenso verlangsamte wie mein Körper. Muskeln brauchen einen konstanten Reiz, um stark und flexibel zu bleiben, und daraus folgt, dass der Geist in Verbindung mit dem physischen Körper ausgeübt werden muss, um mentale Stärke in den späteren Lebensjahren zu bewahren.

Wenige Aktivitäten erlauben diese einzigartige Kombination der geistigen und körperlichen Stärken, die der Mensch besitzt. Es gibt sogar wenige Aktivitäten, die von allen geübt werden können, unabhängig vom Schwierigkeitsgrad. Tanzen ist eine der wenigen Unternehmungen, die jeder unternehmen kann, ungeachtet dessen, wie viel oder wie wenig vorherige Erfahrung er gehabt hat. Es stimuliert auch das Gehirn und den Körper, eine ideale Kombination, um den langsamen Verfall des Alters abzuwehren.

Ich fand durch meine eigenen Erfahrungen, dass das Tanzen verlangsamte und sogar einige der negativen Gefühle, die ich über das Altern hatte, rückgängig machte. Eine offensichtliche Erklärung ist, dass es auf die körperliche Übung zurückzuführen ist, die ich erhielt. Ich glaube jedoch, dass die Leidenschaft, die es mir gab, und die mentale Stimulation, die es mir gab, mir die zusätzliche Kraft in meinem Schritt gab, dass ich durch die körperlichen Schmerzen arbeiten musste, die ich fühlte. Aufregung für ein neues Hobby ist das beste Schmerzmittel, das es gibt!

Dies bewies mir, dass es nicht nur für Erwachsene wichtig ist, ihre Ausbildung fortzusetzen, es ist absolut lebenswichtig. Die Physik besagt, dass ein ruhender Körper in Ruhe bleibt, aber das gleiche gilt für den Geist. Ein Gehirn, das Staub sammelt, tut seinem Besitzer nichts! Für mich bot das Tanzen eine Quelle und einen Weg, diesen mentalen Staub zu beseitigen. Ich fühle mich geistig wach und in der Lage, jede Herausforderung anzunehmen, die auf mich zukommt.
